Does Yoga provoke God to Anger?

Information to make an informed decision as to whether Yoga is right for you.

The objective of this blog post is not to offend but to present information for you, the reader, to make an informed decision as to whether Yoga is right for you.

Yahweh (the Great I AM) is Creator of All (seen and unseen)

Because we were not present at the beginning (physically) to affirm the origins of creation, BY FAITH, we accept the testimonies written about Creation and the Universe. Too many times, we devalue FAITH or BELIEF because scientifically, we cannot measure nor quantify them. However, we tend to present measurements in years and give absolute accounts of what happened!! Hmmm.

Nonetheless, we must agree that in this generation, we choose who we will believe is true or not. In the case of Yahweh (God) being creator, we learn of this through Scriptures from the Bible.

The scriptures were written by inspiration from Yahweh’s Holy Spirit.

[I will not go into proving the bible’s authentication and being a credible source here – because it weighs heavily on your beliefs. I am presenting only information for you to make an informed decision.]

Things that provoke Yahweh to anger:

  • Willfully disobeying His commands and teaching others to do the same.

  • Foolishly disregarding His warnings and authority to please self, people, and false gods.

  • Cowardly rejecting His standards and repositioning self to receive qualities of demons.

  • Dishonorably sabotage the fulfillment of His desire and plans for creating and positioning you on earth.

Pro-voke: means to call forward.

In-voke: means to call inside.

E-voke: means to call out or from.

Re-voke: means to call back.

Yoga – The Origin, Purpose, and Design

According to the Ministry of External Affairs Government of India – Yoga was founded by a deity name Shiva (a Hindu god). However, modern yoga is founded by

Sri T Krishnamacharya

The word Yoga means “to yoke or to join” with the Universe. Therefore, Yoga is the experience, not the practice. The word in front of Yoga is the practice. For example, Modern Yoga (Westernized) is Hatha Yoga or “Willfully posturing to join.” [I am simply putting the meaning of the words together for clarity]

Ultimately, Yoga is the path one takes to awakening the Serpent within to connect with Cosmic Powers to become a god through enlightenment.

For this post, we will focus on Modern Yoga. The most common style of modern yoga is Hatha Yoga. Hatha Yoga is willfully forcing yourself to be yoked_____ with what?

Modern Yoga – Hatha Yoga (Postures)

Hatha Yoga consists of Asana (postures) and Pranayama (breathing).

Did you know that some poses were for worshipping deities and created beings? For example, there are three Hindu Deities that mimic God the Father, God the Holy Spirit, and God the Son (Jesus).

Did you know Brahman, Vishnu, and Shiva are the Triumvirate gods of Hinduism?

Modern Yoga shares that the Asanas (Postures) are for opening your conscious self to receiving universal consciousness (cosmic powers), leading to healing and self-awareness that produces a productive life.

Modern Yoga – Hatha Yoga (Breathing)

The regulation of breath plays a significant part in your experience in yoga. For instance, like postures, breathing is for availing oneself and removing all resistance against the free movement of the serpent (cosmic energy) up your spine.

Did you know yogis often played music consisting of chants (or Mantras) to plant seeds in the individual consciousness persuading your willful surrender to the deity your posture worshipped?

Does yoga provoke Yahweh (God Almighty) to anger?

The scriptures testify that God commanded His chosen should not have other gods before Him.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

(Exodus 20:3 Jubilee 2000 Version)

Brahman, Vishnu, and Shiva are Hindu gods worshipped and invoked by the Asana and Pranayama (performed).

Are we willfully joining ourselves to a path that glorifies Brahman, Vishnu, and Shiva (the founder of yoga) is wrong? Does it disobey the commandment of Yahweh?

Scriptures provide a standard to maintain when pressed to turn our hearts and service from Yahweh. (Deuteronomy 6:14) We are shown not to compromise as cowards—for instance, the serpent and Eve in contrast with Jesus and Satan. Jesus demonstrated what we are to do when pressed. We are to utilize the power and authority given to resist and cast away the thought, imagination, and demonic influencers(Mathew 4:10)

Do not worship other gods as the people around you do (Deuteronomy 6:14 New Century Version)

Jesus’ refusal was curt: “Beat it, Satan!” He backed his rebuke with a third quotation from Deuteronomy: “Worship the Lord your God, and only him. Serve him with absolute single-heartedness.” (Matthew 4:10 The Message Version)

Yoga promises health, peace, power, and enlightenment to live life as a god on earth. The enemy of Yahweh used this same offer to Eve and Jesus. Eve accepted the offer, being convinced the benefits made it a no-brainer.

Are we foolishly disregarding the standard set by the Lord because the offer is too good to refuse?

Based on the information presented, do you think, whether modern or traditional Yoga, we are provoking God to anger??
